This is one of the best hostels I stayed in. The beds are comfortable, hot shower and a big living room and open space to relax. I was surprised about the small city of Laredo as a backpacker. There is plenty of nice day hikes and activities to do in and around the city. Hostel is perfect 3 min from the bus station. The music in the lounge is relaxing and the atmosphere was stunning for Christmas. Even locals came to take a look at the window to see the beautiful Christmas tree. You don’t need to do the Camino to stay here. The host will welcome with a big smile. The policy of bringing your sleeping bag or sheets is ok, but the cover for the matras and pillow can maybe be adjust. They are removable and one use only. This is perfect for one night stay, but if you are staying 3/4 nights, the quality is very low and it isn’t useful anymore as the quality is very poor. But this is just a detail. I will recommend this place to all my friends!
This was a really great stop off on the camino in Laredo. We were greeted warmly & shown to our room & made to feel very welcome. The bed snugs were immaculate, private & comfortable. The showers, & kitchenette very modern. I left my poles behind & the lovely couple from the Albergie met me a few days later with them on my path to the next stage. I was so grateful to get them back & their kindness in this gesture embodies the spirit of the camino. Muchas Gracias .
Amazing stay, peaceful and quiet, great facilities I mean great!! Very nice that the bathrooms have soap conditioner and shampoo! I like the living room and the layout as well. Some constructive criticism: -Some handles on the barn doors would be nice! -The men's restroom needs a privacy wall blocking the urinals since the door opens directly to them. This wasn't an issue since the place was almost empty but if it was full I could see that being weird. -Lastly, this was no problem to me since I'm on the Camino de Santiago and I have a sleeping bag, but it should be advertised that blankets/sheets/towels not included (if it is already I'm sorry). I loved my stay here!
A perfect place to rest for the night. Top quality facilities and extremely clean. A nice common area with beautiful mood lighting to relax in the evening. The beds with blackout curtains insures that you get your own private space when resting and sleeping in your bed. It allows you to keep your own bed light on without bothering others, while the main light on in the dorm, dosent bother you if you are asleep. Genius! This hostel is a very quiet resting place, more then a social one. Exactly what I needed after a long day and wanted to feel anonymous 😌 great location near the beach and town. Great value for money!!
Booked this place fearing the albergue will fill up early (it didn’t). New hostel in good location attracting a diverse crowd. Clean but uncomfortable to sleep on paper sheets that don’t fit the mattress, no locker, no towels (for renting) available. Big dorms without a/c, washrooms inappropriate for capacity.
