4 / 5 The hotel is very well located, just a short walk from both the beach and downtown. It’s simple, so you shouldn’t expect much from a true two-star hotel, but it is very clean. The bathroom and bed were tidy and spotless.
The reception girl in the afternoon was very polite and friendly. She gave us great tips on places to visit and eat during our stay in the city, which we really appreciated.
There’s an inner patio where we could park our bikes, which was convenient.
It was extremely hot during our visit, and unfortunately the room didn’t have air conditioning, so sleeping was a bit tough.
Overall, a clean and conveniently located place for a short stay, with lovely staff, but be aware it’s basic and can get warm in summe
5 / 5 Great little affordable hotel. Nice staff, spotlessly clean, little dated decor but not an issue! Spacious room and fan and nice big windows. Called to reserve but it wasn't an issue so just showed up to get a room. Recommended!
1 / 5 Looks nice enough from the outside, but poor value. It states free breakfast here on Google-not correct. They provide no breakfasts at all. There are a couple of vending machines outside on the terrace. Free parking is on the street. Room was small and very dated, lighting poor, bathroom needs replacing. Noisy too, you hear every clonk and scrape from the other rooms. The bedding also had what looked like a blood stain on the sheet.....My wife, not wanting to wet her hair with the non adjustable shower, decided to have a bath, except there was no plug. The kid on the desk went and took one from another room. We paid an extra 10 Euro for a double bed, which is a first for me, meaning room only for one night was 75 Euro. That's really bad value for this place. This is a hostel that thinks it's a two star hotel. I wouldn't go again.
5 / 5 The location is second-to-none, with the beach less than a minute away and the first of Laredo's ludicrous number of bars and restaurants (given it's size). As always in Spain, all the staff are extremely friendly. Some of the rooms have balconies that give a view of the bay and they have dinky little baths that are perfect for sitting up and reading in.
4 / 5 Perfectly fine--room was clean, bed was comfy, and it's conveniently located. It's not the Ritz, but for the reasonable price, you get what you need. If you want an inexpensive place to stay when passing through town, give Cortijo a shot.
