Quirky and charming with three cute dogs and a sitting room lined with books. Staff looked after our bikes exceptionally well, and poured insanely large measures of local liquors. Rooms are basic but comfortable and the large garden means you are woken by bird song. Breakfast was good but could have used some protein.
Receptionist was very helpful, and even ran some wet, washed clothes through their dryer. Nice location, a few blocks from the beach. Good continental breakfast.

Fantastic location, and although it is a dated hotel the staff are fantastic, attentive and very friendly. Rooms don’t have AC which wasn’t a problem for us, breakfast was served either inside or outside and consisted of bread, croissant, yoghurt, and accompanying jams.
It rained unfortunately while I was here so I didn’t get to the beach which is very near Hotel El Ancla. The rooms are plain but great for Camino travelers like myself with a continental breakfast (no espresso coffee / cappuccino etc but there are cafes nearby in town). My favorite part were the 3/4 sausage dogs that live there! It was a lovely greeting after a day of walking. The owners are friendly and so hospitable. The garden seating area is gorgeous with butterflies and birds. Overall, really enjoyed my stay.
