If you get a smelly or dirty room, go back to the reception right away and tell them, you're very likely to get another room, a nice and clean one. We, a group of 28 Dutch tourists, got stranded in Bilbao, our flight was cancelled. Due to a football match in Bilbao we were put up all the way in Miramar Laredo. Iván and his staff worked super hard to make the best of it feeding and accomodating us, and they succeeded very well. We had a lovely time with them.
First of all, They had messed up our reservation, and made us feel quilty about it Rooms were not very clean, and they were very outdated. On our groups room, one had 2 quite big spiders inside, another had staffs dogs collar on top of the bed. Service overall very rude, lobby bar not well equipped. Backyard there is small pool, but the backyard area is not maintained properly, grass very long, one table and plastic chairs thrown over.
Prepare to be under whelmed! First what spectacular views of the town and bays, hard to find better. My room had 3 beds and no floor space and the beds were soft and moved considerably. Windows dirty, plumbing poor. My room had a bath but when I tried to use that option on the tap black liquid pored in. There is no restaurant and it is almost 2km from the town and involves climbing a lot of steps to get back. It is cheap, but not really value for money
Breathtaking views but unfortunatelly room was not very clean when we arrived. The next day everything was perfect.
This is a disaster of a hotel very damp out dated no staff no food.
