Owners were nice and there was secure parking for my motorbike but place was very basic and cold at night with no option of heating. What I really did not like was having to leave by 9am. Bit expensive for the price compared to other place I'm staying at. The hostel could be a amazing if they threw a bit of money at it. But as said the owners were lovely!

The hostel for pilgrims has a very good position in the city center (another question if you like the city - I didn't: They have traffic and too much people everywhere - but that's just my personal opinion that I didn't count in this rating). The albergue is not as dirty as many describe it. It's okay! Some things like bathrooms could be modernized, but not necessarily. The accomodations has a lot of room: Garden, living room, balcony. With a lot of chairs: Great! The main downside is the price (yes I knew the price before but that still makes it expensive for such a stay). It's really over the top compared to other hostels and even albergues in big towns.
One of the highlights on my Camino del Norte. All you need from an albergue. Plus, a beautiful historical building, nice views, friendly staff, great pilgrims, social zones, and a cosy kitchen checked by the staff every half an hour!
If you are a pilgrim, don't even concider going there! The hospitaleros are very, very boorish and unbelievably money-minded! From the begging when we we were waiting at the door for the albergue to open the service made a few unpleasant comments directed at us, so that already made us uncertain about staying in that albergue. At the check-in it when we wanted to rethink our decision and plans, because of the very high price that we didnt know about, the hospitaleros raised their voices and wanted us to pay now or get out. We happily went away with 20€ in our pockets saved on a such an unpleasant place that is this albergue. I do not recommend!
