The albergue was the worst. There was no heating, the toilets didn’t even have soap, just an old soap bottle filled with water. There was no hair dryer and no hot water either. Check-out was at 9:30 a.m., but an hour earlier the owner was already trying to kick us out, reminding us every ten minutes that we had to leave by 9:30. We couldn’t even have breakfast or follow our plans. I had bed number 13, and all the light from the corridor was shining directly on my face at night, so I couldn’t sleep. At the same time, since the room was large, the light near the lockers had been switched off by the owner so that we couldn’t turn it on in the morning, and we had to look for our things in the dark. Nobody could found the switch for the light. When we mentioned it to her, she sarcastically replied, “Peregrinos always carry flashlights with them.” Unwelcoming place, by far the worst experience on the entire Camino.
This was a great place to stay in Santiago. Very clean and nice. The owner was very helpful and was happy to help us get oriented and answer questions in English.
Anna is a lovely lady who is very accommodating. I have stayed here every year and enjoy arriving at this albergue. It is close to all amenities and Anna is a 5 star hospitalaria. As always sad to leave.
Bedbugs. In addition, 25€ is to much for what this place offers. Laundry service only available to 4.00 PM.
Good location in the city, very reasonably priced, clean and quiet. the owner is also very nice!
