This was the perfect place! Philippe the manager was amazing! He was very hospitable and his English was fantastic! The beds were comfortable and the garden area was beautiful! Very close to the cathedral of St. James and all historic sites. The breakfast was great and the coffee was very good. Alejandro was very kind and helpful. The casa is a delightful oasis very near the major sites in Santiago. Philippe the manager was very knowledgeable and very friendly. He is fluent in several languages and was very helpful with his suggestions . The hotel is clean and the rooms and beds were very comfortable. The garden was a wonderful place to have a glass of wine and a very spiritual place to meditate. Eric L.
Yes it's rather loud, Yes there is some mold, Yes the bathroom is small. But the location is great, the big and bright window is lovely and there's free breakfast, free washing machine & dryer, free towels and free shower gel. On the way to Finisterre or the airport, using Santiago as a transit spot, it's great. Staff was friendly and there's a nice patio outside. If you share the room with someone you met on the way, it's perfect and affordable. Can only recommend. If you want to treat yourself with something after finishing a Camino, it might not be fancy enough, depending on your expectations.
I cannot imagine a better place to stay after a completed pilgrimage or any other visit of Santiago de Compostela. Comfortable, tidy and clean rooms and facilities, friendly and helpful staff, quiet and very convenient ambient, great location. The very affordable price for the rooms also includes a very delicious and plentiful breakfast, which also caters for gluten free and other diatry requirements, as well as all day free fruits and hot drinks. Just amazing. We loved it here and would come back again at any time.
We enjoyed our stay and having a room for 50€ with breakfast for tor people is a fair deal. Even with the shared bathrooms. They kept everything clean and have been friendly and supportive. Alejandro is really a super nice guy and very helpful! Also the location is great.
