Absolutely beautiful property, great service and exceptional breakfast. Unfortunately, the hotel’s facade is under restoration so it took out some of the full experience. The hotel is a beautiful old property where you can get lost just wondering around the hallways and appreciating it. The front desk staff was kind and welcoming as well as the front door gentleman and valet parking people. Our room was large since we were a family of four. We were on the 4th floor. The room was warm, cozy and clean. The rugs look a little used and not so clean but minimal. The room had some bathroom accesories (toothbrush and paste) and the room provided sleepers. I would have loved some robes, at least for the adults, considering it is supposed to be a 5-star hotel. I was disappointed with the bed. We were given two single beds put together and one pull out couch. The bed was uncomfortable and hard and the pillows provided were long and thin. Would have loved to have a real bed size (at least a queen size) and some real nice size pillow. Breakfast was wonderful and tasty and the service was very good. Totally recommend staying in the property.
Absolutely beautiful and intriguing hotel. The grounds are breathtaking and I felt like a princess living in a castle. The rooms are different depending on where you are staying within the hotel. The second room I stayed in had a pretty wonky door and it was difficult to lock. Other than that I have completely enjoyed my experience here. The location is unbeatable. The restaurants on site have all been good as well. I will say, if you have difficulty walking/climbing stairs this may not be the best fit.
a stunning building - like no other hotel I've ever stayed in. The service was exceptionally attentive and the breakfast was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble. The only quibble was the hot water innthe shower - or lack of! But still a solid five stars.
Fabulous hotel, super friendly helpful staff. Nice sized rooms, plenty of open spaces to relax. Superb Paradores breakfast as always and the best situation in Santiago
I am writing this at 3.25am from my damp, cold room. The bed feels like a plank of wood, there is no heating, and despite the POURING rain there is still an astonishing amount of noise, human and vehicular, from the road outside the window. I still have another 2 nights to suffer through here. Save your money. This is not worth it. Did I mention the hole in the bed sheet. Not a luxury hotel.
