Hostal San Pelayo

Amazing location just 1min walk from the cathedral and has everything around you may think of, comfy bed and clean toilet. We stayed in the last floor with a cute antique balcony with views to the cathedral and the Santiago streets. The lady organizing everything gave us recommendations where to eat and what to do, and let us check in early as the room was ready. You are in the heart of the centre, and really recommend. Booking directly with them gets you better price than online typically, so would recommend that, as it’s better for everyone!

The property has a bed bug infestation, we found the bugs everywhere in the room, left during the night and had to spend triple the amount of money dealing with the issue. Once we started looking for the bugs they were easy to find. We submitted a report and the property has been unresponsive. We have stayed in many places around the world and never had an issue like this, but had to deal with a potential infestation in our own luggage and clothes due to this room.

Very central hostel, ideal for tourist and especially pilgrims! They also allow dogs and the welcoming was so kind-hearted and lovely! Rooms are also nice; simple and functional, everything you need for a short stay. Amenities are pretty good as well with a full quipped kitchen, bathroom and a separated toilet. Can recommend!

Very clean and beautiful room and building. The staff is super friendly and kind. Also the location is perfect, as the cathedral is right next door. My friend and me enjoyed our stay very much. We can recommend the place!

Really good price-quality for such a central location- loved it. Clean, comfortable beds. Hosts fantastic; in touch via watsap while we were on the Camino, and upgraded room at no extra cost. Kept backpacks for free while we did tourism, and called taxi for departure. Excellent experience here.
