Spent our final night here after returning from Finistere. It was a sharp contrast to the alburgues we experienced while walking the Camino. Unlike the alburgues, which offer opportunities to connect with other pilgrims, this accomodation is a traditional hotel and the atmosphere matched that (I.E. catered to individual services and not community). This experience aligns with the intention of the accomodation, but felt so different after weeks on the Camino. The room was spacious and clean. We loved that there were fresh linens and towels and soap dispensers. It all felt so luxurious. The service was kind and proffessional, but missing the warmth of alburgue hosts. We enjoyed the breakfast offered at the hotel. They provide a brunch buffet for 17 euros or an option to have a 'simple" breakfast for 9 euros. I was unclear on what the simple breakfast includes, but had an americano, eggs, tomato slices, and a bun with jam.

Very nice all the way: location, rooms, beds, service. Very nice balcony. Very distinctive decor, nice restaurant- see a separate review. Breakfast is limited for the price-there are plenty of better choices nearby. The only point that disappointed- the pool . Water was almost cold and neither us nor anybody else, as much as we have seen used it

This hotel is perfectly fine, but for the price I paid I was disappointed. I see now that many other reviews already mention this, but it was so odd to stay at a “5-star” hotel that did not offer complimentary coffee / tea in the room, complimentary daily water, satisfactory water pressure / temperature in the shower, and more. The rooms were also outdated in furniture and decor. However, the service was excellent at the front desk and this hotel does have some cool style at heart, as well as great walkability to the historic center.

Disappointment! When you book a 5* hotel you’d expect a high level of service. This hotel is quite old, feeling like going back a century. The positive points: location (very close to the center), impressive hall / reception (old museum style), and huge rooms. Apart from that most other aspects are not at 5* level – with great benevolence I could concede 4*. There is a lack of “personal touch” – rooms have no cattle for tea/coffee, there is no complimentary water (quite common in most 4* hotels), the cafeteria/ bar is quite old (depressing) and expensive (there are many more attractive and cheaper places around), the swimming pool is quite small and also with the old looks. Low speed internet and few options on TV channels. One of the 4 days of our stay they forgot to clean the room (5*???). Breakfast is very expensive. Fortunately, there are plenty of nice cafes nearby for less than half the price. Even Liam, a sophisticated brunch place is cheaper (and very nice). The hotel has parking (one of the reasons I chose it), but it is expensive. Considering the high price of the rooms I would have expected something much better. I have stayed in many Eurostars hotels and until now had a good impression of the chain. But this experience with Araguaney will make me much more careful when considering a Eurostars hotel. It is a shame that the chain sells this hotel as a 5*, creating expectations that cannot be fulfilled.

Eurostar advertised on TripAdvisor that it was pet-friendly, but when I arrived with my poodle, I was told it wasn't. Besides the inconvenience of having to find a hotel at the last minute, they refused to refund my booking of over 500€. TripAdvisor submitted a refund request to Eurostar, including documentation showing their false advertising. I received a reply from TripAdvisor that “even with the documentation,” Eurostar would not issue a refund. Eurostar has since corrected its advertising on TripAdvisor, but I’m still out more than 500€ because of their mistake.
