This hotel truly deserves 4 stars, both for its location and for the quality of service. The hotel is very well located and everything was clean, comfortable, and well organised. Overall, it was a great experience. I especially want to mention Noemi at reception. She was absolutely fantastic, very professional, friendly, and truly customer-focused. We need more staff like Noemi, she made a real difference to our stay. However, my experience with Irene was not the same. Every time I asked her something, it felt like I was asking for something very difficult or inconvenient, which was disappointing. Despite this, I would definitely return to Santiago, and I would 100% book the same hotel again. Thank you for a great stay.
Location of this hotel is great, considering being halfway point between the Santiago train station and the Cathedral, however that was the only saving grace. Service upon checking in was abhorrent, with an unfriendly front desk member who scoffed when we asked about easier methods of reaching the Cathedral for a member of our party who has mobility issues. Rooms were tidy, however beds were uncomfortable and linens/pillows were low quality. Not impressed, especially considering the price. Even with a slightly higher standard for hospitality I would have considered a better rating.
My stay at this hotel was a pleasant surprise! The location is truly excellent, just a short walk from the train station, the old town, and plenty of restaurants and shops. The hotel itself was much better than I expected. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a great AC that we could control ourselves (so important during the warmer months) The breakfast was nice; lots of fresh fruit and a wide variety of breads. A special thank you to Noemi at the front desk, who was incredibly kind and made us feel like we were staying at a 5-star hotel. Her amazing attitude and kindness made our experience even more memorable. While everything was great, I would suggest a slight improvement in the breakfast buffet's hot food options. The selection was limited, and a bit more variety in the cereals would be a welcome change too. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel for its amazing location and friendly service! Whenever I'm back in Santiago, I'll book here again 100%
Absolutely outstanding stay at H Gelmírez! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The location is unbeatable - just a short walk from the old town and the train station.The rooms are modern, spotless and extremely comfortable.the staff were incredibly kind, helpful and always went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.Breakfast was varied fresh and delicious. Every details is carefully thought out and the overall atmosphere is warm and relaxing. Highly recommended, we would come back without hesitation!!!
