Hotel Plaza Obradoiro

Slightly small room, but all the facilities. Excellent location in the square opposite the cathedral. Also close to an excellent restaurant (Restaurante Raxoi). Very good shower, perfect after a long walk. Very helpful receptionist. When our room was too warm, she provided a fan. Communal umbrellas to use if required. Would recommend if visiting this area again. Did not have breakfast here but at Raxoi

Location superb, welcome by lady in reception was excellent. Breakfast was the worse of the 6 hotels we stayed in whilst in Spain. The food wasn't replenished unless you asked and tables were not cleared around us and this happened both mornings of our stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE They only care about the money: incredibly overpriced for what it offers, we could tell that staff were overworked, doing a thousand tasks at once without being able to do any of them properly. We were sweltering because the air conditioning wasn't working, and they did nothing to fix it or offer us a refund. I've never felt so neglected as a guest anywhere else. It was shameful

Beautiful boutique hotel with lovely buffet breakfast (€12 per person is great value). It is right next to the Santiago Cathedral. Our room is behind the courtyard of the hotel therefore it is unbelievably quiet. Last year, we stayed at another hotel nearby and during the night we could still hear the shouting and chanting from the Cathedral square but not this time. There are 2 tiers of windows at our room and the room has air-conditioning. Once both windows are closed, our room is silent. I highly recommend Hotel Plaza Obradoiro.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Plaza Obradoiro - especially after our 6 days on the Camino de Santiago! Great location, literally just steps from the Cathedral. Friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful rooms that are beautifully designed with thoughtful amenities, smart TV that works and comfortable beds. Google Maps says this is a 2 star property, but this is mostly definitely 3+⭐️⭐️⭐️ 😊
