I recommend Meiga hostel, it has a great atmosphere, is well located, 15min walk from the city centre and it’s very clean. Also, the host Jorge is very attentive and kind.
First and most, amazing staff! Friendly cats, and awesome location. We enjoyed the kitchen and backyard, and were able to walk all over Santiago and even to the Mana concert without using transportation. Highly recommended spot.
I was looking for an aubergue/hostel as I arrived in Santiago on the Camino Ingles. This hostel is actually on the route about 1 km outside so ideal for location. There is a good kitchen with utensils and equipment, seating area and a rest area which is comfortable and access to a garden area. The bedrooms are fine and spacious with a lot of sockets. The showers and toilets are good , however, a bit compact. All in all a great hostel.
