Avoid this place at all cost!! Yes it's in a great location, yes the owner is very friendly. But simply not worth being covered in bedbug bites! The sheets are very dated. There was a smell in the hallway and room, maybe mold or dead rodent. We did check the mattresses and they looked new. We had read the reviews and assumed the situation would have been dealt with by the time we stayed there. NOT SO. We even slept in our silk liners just in case. Well the silk liner where not help. I woke up covered in bedbug bites, some look are extremely bad and are blistering. This was our last day on the Camino and what a nightmare. This is just one of them, but I'm covered in bites, legs, arms, face, neck, chest. Just horrible.
Great , helpful host. Property is very close to everything and is in the heart of town but is dated, however, and in need of maintenance. Strange odors in common areas of reception and stairwell. Rooms are not air conditioned, and there is no air movement unless the windows are left open (no screens.) Super noisy guests at all hours. We had an on suite bathroom (tiny!!) and the bathroom for another room was literally outside our bedroom door. Guests were very loud at all hours, making it impossible to sleep.
Bang in the middle of the old city and only a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral. If you want a coffee or something to eat, there is a cafe literally round the corner.

The pension is simple but perfect if you just need a place to rest between sightseeing and anything else you might be doing. The service is great ! Toilet was not inside the room but no surprises there it was clearly stated before I did my booking . Would definitely recommend and return if ever in Santiago da Compostela again !
