Located literally 2 min walking to the cathedral, this small hotel is cute and has everything you need for a night in the city. Be mindful, being a small university city means that Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, the noise level will be loud, so it is not the hotel’s fault! If you want a super quiet place, stay away from the city center, it is a better option. In this pension, rooms seem recently renovated, and despite not being very big, they offer everything you need at a very affordable price. Great place!
There's no elevators and the air conditioning doesn't hold a temperature (you can change it, but it resets). Bed is comfortable, and the shower is well stocked.
Simple room, very close, excellent location just 18 minutes from the train and bus station. Shower good, plenty of fresh linen, drinking cups and extra blankets if needed. Signs in English, Spanish and Galician. Check in a little convoluted as had to go to a hotel around the corner to complete check in with a 24 hour reception but had a very nice and pleasant conversation via intercom with directions, this was in Spanish so don't know if non-Castillan speakers may struggle with this. I didn't read the sign carefully so maybe this is explained and I also didn't read my email which may contain this instructions. The receptionist was lovely and interesting to talk to and key card for both main door and room was appreciated. Simple leave card in box upon exit. Only there five hours and did everything I needed and more.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better. It offered us a peaceful and welcoming space to rest and recharge before exploring the beauty of this amazing city.
Wonderful location. You do have to checkin at Rua Villar hotel which we found a little confusing and weren’t expecting to have to take our luggage there. The service at reception is exceptional. Very informative with recommendations and they helped us to book a taxi. No lift so you must be able to carry luggage up stairs. Room was small but clean. Bathroom was a great size. Location is everything. Very close to the church.
