Pombal Rooms Santiago

The location was great but our room was so hot when we arrived it was unbearable. We left the aircon on when we went out but it didn't work. Bad nights sleep and very basic breakfast. Our room was at the front of the hotel next to the road and so quite noisy with window open all night. Shower fitment didn't stay in position and so sprayed all over the bathroom. Sitting in the downstairs outside area was nice as lovely view of the cathedral.

Very disappointing for the price paid. The breakfast was truly delicious and the view is lovely, but everything else felt like a joke. The towels were torn, the shower head was broken, and the floor had brown marks that completely clash with the color of the floor, not dirt, but old stains that clearly show the poor maintenance of the room. For this price range, this level of quality is unacceptable. With some care and renovation, it could be a great place, but as it is now, it simply isn’t worth it.

For two star lodging, I got five star treatment! Kudos to Irene who went above and beyond to help me after I made a confusing booking error and left my things in the room but didn’t in fact have a second night’s reservation. Irene could not have been more helpful! My room was comfortable, clean and despite being close to the Cathedral(which I could see from my room!), it was very quiet. Irene served us a healthy and plentiful breakfast. I would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Best price and just 5 min walk away from the Basilica. It was extremely hot on the 2 days there AC was not working. Booked this place 5 months in advance requesting for a room with balcony doors, received the top floor room with a rooftop window. On the plus side, we felt safe, easy check in and check out comfortable beds, reasonably priced room with washroom.
