Very friendly receptionist. This albuergue also offers self-check-in - in case you arrive late. There are 5 bunk beds (10 beds inside in total) and more tents in the garden. Sheet & pillow case, warm blanky, shampoo, shower gel are provided. You can even use the washing machine for free for 30min. Lots of helpful information is also to find about the Camino. Very easy to find. Tha k you very much. 🙏❤️
I do not recommend this place: €24 for a very beautiful hostel, yes, but without any services to justify such a price. The only real advantage is the possibility to use a washing machine for your clothes. Moreover, there are no nearby shops for those on a budget: the only restaurant charges outrageous prices for the small portions served, combined with unfriendly service. If I were you, I would keep walking or head to Castro-Urdiales, where you can find more affordable and equally comfortable options. Here, exclusivity and tourism rule the day, as the hostel is not reserved for pilgrims but also open to Booking.com reservations. A real shame…
Very well kept albergue, the owner is very kind and can speak English, you can use the washing machine for free which is a blessing!
One of the best albergues where I stayed! The owner is very nice, doesn't want extra charge for washing, has really clean bathrooms and a big garden. It's a place where I felt a warm welcome. At the same hand it's really cheap for all the values. Perhaps if there is a downside than the place. It's okay but obviously there is no great nature, no beach and so on.
Thank you! A really lovely atmosphere here, great staff (and dogs and cat!). Two free washing machines + liquid. Free shampoo and body wash. Communal kitchen (no stove, but there is a microwave and rice cooker). Lots of space to dry clothes on long washing lines. Lockers. Two shower/toilet rooms. Nice area to sit outside. There are a lot of tents set up outside which I think are for extra pilgrims. There is one bar nearby with really friendly staff which serves a three course meal for €12, including drink (Bar Centro Social Santullán).
