Very lovely place, the couple running the place were super lovely and the rooms super comfortable and nice, BUT unfortunately after 30mins of chilling in the dorms, we noticed bedbugs crawling up from Underneath the mattresses. She was straight onto it when we showed her, coming with spray and cleaning tool and new sheets, but we decided not to risk it and she was really nice about it and refunded us the full amount right away.
The folks that run this hostel went above and beyond in every aspect. They reserved two lower bunks for us (we are older), allowed us to air dry our clothes in their yard, stored our bag for a few days and were so kind. The place was clean, quiet, had a washer, dryer, and refrigerator. The beds had blankets, a pillow, and sheets, electrical outlet and light. Two unisex bathrooms with an excellent shower with a lot of pressure and hot water. It is located a block from the center of town and there is a small grocery store a couple doors down. A wonderful stay! I would highly recommend staying here.
Absolutely lovely place, total recommend. I stayed for one week to do some work from my computer and enjoy the town and I had a great time. The place is perfectly located, calm and green but with the center of the town with many nice cafés and tavernas at a 4min walking distance and many great natural sites around. The house was beautifully restored by the family recently, furnishing and style is very charming and has the typical „galician“ cottage touch, everything is newly renovated though and very clean. The family is very sweet and welcoming, will help with anything needed and is always up for a chat, but in the same time values privacy at all times. My favorite place in Caldas, would come back any time !
This place was filthy. Cockroaches at night ! Garbage bins over flowing . Coffee pot was filthy. Such a shame . I should have took pictures. Sorry I didn’t. Definitely needs better care keepers of this property. It could actually be very nice and possibly have more bookings is kept up properly.
The lady was pretty nice but the albergue was a nightmare. My brother found some dead big bugs in his room. And we had a mouse that wake us up in the midle of the night. So no sleep for us :) They are asking 5 euro for towels. And 10 euro for laundry (wash + dry) . We found muffins in the morning but it didnt help that much. We payed 35 euro for a room with 2 beds. Worst money ever spent.
