Our stay was luckily without bedbugs. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. Room was clean and maintained.You didn’t really have much privacy in bathrooms and there is only one toilet which is a bit unfortunate.
Location was fantastic. But both two washing machines were broken. Only one toilet cubicle for women. An air conditioner was leaking and my slippers are completely soaked overnight. They need overall maintenance work…
The bunk design drew me in, but unfortunately I got bit by bed bugs overnight in various locations (May 19,2024). I read reviews of bed bugs over a year ago, so I assumed they dealt with the problem since then. I was wrong. The location is good, but I would avoid this altogether because there are many other hostels with good locations in this town. Breakfast was also not worth the 5€.
Great albergue with very clever design to optimize top bunk bed access and space. Owner willing to use AC to keep all comfortable; those not wanting could use curtain to block. Breakfast (€5) was awesome with meat/cheese choices plus breads and coffee, juice. Nice outdoor terrace, though uncovered. No shower dressing area was only downside. Friday night brought the riverside amusement park next door alive, but it was quiet by 23:00. Across the street from the hot springs. Very convenient to that and riverside walk.
Bed design was great but the air conditioning in the room wasn't working so there was absolutely no ventilation in the room, woke up feeling ill.
