Stopped here for a cold drink and a bite to eat. Super friendly hosts and excellent service- wished we could have stopped here for the night instead of Caldas de Reis. It was good to sit in the cool of the garden.
Beautiful location, excellent, friendly staff, great kitchen and bar. The rooms are VERY noisy if you don’t have earplugs. The plumbing makes loud noises whenever any one uses water in the bathrooms (flushing, washing, showering) and the doors are all noisy if other guests aren’t being careful. This isn’t a pilgrim hostel so people are not quiet after 10, but the garden and atmosphere are aces.
Very much enjoyed the stay at this albergue. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was fantastic and there was an amazing pool and garden. Does it get any better? It does, they had the most affectionate and sweet cat on earth to keep us company during breakfast.
An incredible place on the Camino! Hospitality, ambiance, good food and decent prices (pilgrim menu for €12). Highly recommended!
Rooms and everything was very clean. Sadly, didn’t stay long as they decided to put me, female, with only guys (6 other) in one room… felt very unsafe with that decision and for my own sanity and safety I had to go somewhere else. I felt very unsafe and anxious. I mean who thinks it is an good idea to put one female in a room with only males in a society where #metoo is still sadly a thing. 1 out of 3 females have encountered sexual abuse in a form of rape. Think about that!
