Great location and can't beat the views of the steam and waterfalls. Call early to book a pilgrims massage and private spa. Yes it's dated, yes there is no AC, and yes there is not 4 gallons of bacon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, but welcome to Europe. They do offer breakfast included options also and they did have enough to eat for you to get back on the Camino. Highly recommend for pilgrims looking to recharge.

Just checked in paid extra for full board, confirmed minutes before trying to get lunch the time and day full board was included. I thought it was odd the staff ignored me at checkin and then i heard on of the staff say it was okay to cut infront of me because i am from the part of the world that thinks you wait in line to ask where the bathroom is. Was then told i could not have the room i booked and would need to stay in the garden room farthest from the hotel. When I went to eat lunch moments after lunch opened I was told I was not welcome for lunch in the dinning room. They said I need to eat by myself with no service in the basement tavern. They said all my meals would require me be alone in the basement including dinner. I have never experienced such treatment. I may be served lunch with of tears provided by me in the moldy basement alone.

One of the nicer hotels we were booked into during our Camino hike from Velenca to Santiago. We didn't partake in all of the amenities such as the bar downstairs and the heated pool. The room was nice, but not air conditioned, so we left the window open at night (fortunately our room faced the back of the hotel). The location was real nice being right on the river and across the street from a really nice restaurant we were able to get in and enjoy a fantastic meal. Breakfast wasn't set up well and lines set up quickly making it inefficient. Fortunately we got there early and missed all that. A good stay overall.

Check in was extremely slow and this is frustrating when you have just walked over 18 km. Rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast is ok, adding eggs would be much appreciated. The view to the river from the breakfast room is beautiful and it's a great location.

We booked this hotel on our rest day 5 months prior on the Camino because it advertised having a pool. The pool was closed although advertised open on the website. The spa had to be booked in advance and had no openings when we arrived. Our room had no hot water (ironically) for a shower. The breakfast was over priced and had all the cheapest meats, cheese, and cereals for a large price. We are traveling with our 9 year old son, and had been talking about going to the town with hot springs for 5 months. The whole town seems to revolve around a hot springs that is really only a 10'x8' pool next to a street for tons of pilgrims to soak their feet. Maybe we missed the point, but it was all really strange and very disappointing, especially for our son.
