The building is old, everything is dirty. I had mold in my room and the cleaning ladies did basically nothing about it. Also there were dead bugs in the wall of my room. During summer months the whole residence was full of ants. The owner cares just about the money and he has problems to give people back the deposit. The only advantage is the location. I would never recommend it.
I spent there 5 months of my erasmus, infrastructure and amenities are on very low level. Sometimes smell (in particular in the kitchen) is umbearable. But the main problem is owner who does not give back deposit, most of the times because of false accusations that you broke something etc. Singular advantage is localicsation. I do not recomend this place.
For the price you pay it could be a bit better. The building is great but seems like the owner doesn’t care much about making it cozy. Good location and the receptionist it’s nice and facilitated our late arrival.
Cozy and authentic but when I arrived the receptionist wasn't there. After 2h waiting I ask a local if I could use his phone and called the Host. He sayd he had an emergency and had yo left the hostel. He arrived 15 minutes after I called.
Very nice for the price! The location is perfect, the owner is super nice and the bed are comfy. A very good option to stay in Baixa area in Coimbra
