We stayed two nights at this lovely hotel, which we chose for its excellent location near the University of Coimbra. We were very pleased with our choice — our host, Estefania, made us feel completely at home with her warmth and hospitality. The breakfast was very good, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. They also had a wonderful gesture for my wife, who has a gluten restriction — they prepared a special breakfast just for her, and she was very pleased! The only small challenge could be the stairs, which might be difficult for those with mobility issues, but that’s something quite common in Coimbra due to its hilly geography. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The hotel has a charming and authentic atmosphere, perfect for enjoying the historic spirit of Coimbra. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the city!
The stuff is realy nice , espevially Fabrina and Joice breakfast was good. The room is very clean, the bathroom is wide and comfortable, it is located near the university, but very far from the old city. No elevator, a little bit difficult with luggage.
Passing through Coimbra and chose to stay at Coimbra Monumentais B&B. Great location walking distance to see the University and sights. Room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was delightful with a great variety of items to choose from. Recommended Papas restaurant to us upon our arrival which was a block down the street and was the best service and dinner. We arrived at night with rain, so we were unsure of location of entrance, so ask in advance for clear directions to the entrance prior to arriving. All in all a nice, affordable place to stay on your visit to Coimbra.
Cons: Rooms are a bit small, but clean. Wifi was not the best signal. Walls were a bit thin (can hear your neighbors easily). Pros: great breakfast, with a large selection and staff to cook fresh eggs/bacon for you. An amazing location, 2 minutes from the university!
Stayed there for one week. Everything was perfect. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are newly renovated. Super nice and stylish bathroom and good beds. It has a really family like feeling there. Breakfast was also good. I would absolutely recommend this accommodation.
