Price/Quality is amazing in this place. Breakfast is great considering the price point (pastry, several varieties of bread, coffee, etc..). I was a little bit concerned with some of the comments here, but I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised. I think many reviews forget the price point. If I were to pay 200€ for the room, I wouldn't be so positive. But I didn't, I paid 36€. And for that price point I've seen many horror stories. This is not one of them. I'd gladly stay here many more times, and, to be honest, any time I need to spend a night in Coimbra I'll pick this spot. A perfect example of a low-cost, no frills, hotel. It's clean, friendly, safe, and quite comfortable. Exactly what I was looking for. Two more things: for the hotel, they should definitively align their marketing with this aspect, and for customers, if you take your car plan the parking, because the hotel has a very small parking lot.
Great location. Friendly staff. Somewhat worn and dated, but at the same time it feels like we're going back a few decades. Comfortable rooms. Perfect for an overnight stay or trip to visit the city. Everything you need within short walking distance.
Very good choice for families with rooms with more than one division. Very well positioned in front of the main train stations close to River Mondego. The breakfast is week, with instant coffee and few options for bread and cereals. No option for hot breakfast.
Usually you pay for you get, in my case a cheap $41 room for the night. But at Hotel Braganca, I actually felt like I got a little more. Service: Not the smiliest, but completely accomodating and helpful Room: Small but quite comfortable Bathroom: Excellent hot water pressure and basic toiletries Wifi: perfect TV: small CRT TV, but still has a number of international news and movie channels Breakfast: free and completely sufficient (actually better than other hotels that cost me 2-3x) Location: Very good for seeing the local sites; supreme if you are taking the train in/out of Coimbra. One potential downside is the walls are somewhat thin, so if you get a noisy neighbor, that may not be too fun. If you're coming for just one night, the positives still far exceed negatives.
The location is perfect , the room size is nice and it's clean Breakfast had limited options but enough for a normal breakfast The building and furniture is pretty old
