The hotel is a nice building and interior with a dining room and decent gym. (Although the gym could use a water dispenser). The beds were comfortable and they accommodated our family in 2 rooms with connecting interior doors. Location is pretty walkable with a few restaurants nearby. However, I specifically booked to use the spa that had a hot tub, and called ahead to confirm the spa would be open so the kids would have something to do. When we arrived, we were told we had to make a reservation to use the spa. Ok….get in there and see that the spa is a tiny room with a tiny sauna and hot tub in it, and the hot tub was out of service! And there were no towels anywhere. When we asked the woman at the desk for a towel she looked so confused like it was such a weird request.

The only good thing about this hotel was the location and the lobby. We booked a superior room and the door in bathroom was awful. The room was dark because the window had some sort of filter combined with dark furniture made darker. The river view was ok. However, the staff were not very welcoming. When we arrived for check- in except the “Good Afternoon” there was no eye contact or a smile and the same in the checkout. At the hotel bar there was this attendant who looks sick (and she was, because I asked) looking grumpy and unwell. I asked for a glass of Muscatel (which was in the menu), she replied “I don’t have it. Não tenho” in a not nice way and my husband order a Ruby Port (also in menu) I only have Tawny Port, she replied also not very nice and by the both of the drinks were listed in the bar menu. So, we walked out and went to have a drink at the hotel next door Villa Galé and ended up having dinner at the hotel next door both nights and drinks because not only was very good but they understand customer service. Luckily we had a room only rate because the breakfast (we went to have a peek at €14.90 p/person) seems bland. So, we found a nearby café and had a good one for about €10 total. Location was fine near the river Mondego you can get to town in 15’ but only if like walking and don’t have walking difficults. At the moment they are doing an extension for a tram line and is not a very nice view and can be bit noisy. Overall we didn’t like NH Dona Ines at all, for a 4* lacks in lots of details but has a nice lobby. We stayed 12-14 March 25

Great room with top-quality bedding, towels, and bathrobes. An excellent and varied breakfast every morning. Staff is top-notch. Highly recommend.

Average Nh style hotel, on the entrance of the city, not many restaurants around. Parking service. Clean and big rooms, comfortable and acceptable price.

Thank you for cozy room and perfect service. And especially a big thanks for your pets friendly position. Sadly the Pets friendly option is very episodically in the hotels business, so you are great in pets support. Another special thanks for the garage
