Easy access quality hotel with parking in central Coimbra This hotel is easy to access if you are driving to Coimbra. The car park is below the hotel down a ramp. Ten minutes walk into central Coimbra and there are several decent restaurants nearby. We tried the Japanese buffet just down the street and it was frantic and fun! This is a business style hotel so everything is fairly functional but we found the facilities all worked and the staff were very helpful.

Just the one night but it was good. Buffet evening meal was very good, lots of choice, chef with a griddle if you wanted something different. Good quality wine, not overpriced. Staff attentive without being intrusive. Had to book a timed slot for the indoor pool which we haven't encountered elsewhere. Not a problem and it ensures that it isn't overcrowded. Didn't realise until later in the evening when looking through the blurb in the room, you can get a coffee machine in the room upon request. Would have done that if we'd known when we checked in. All in all, a good stay. Great location, free underground parking, relaxed atmosphere.

I stayed at Hotel NH Coimbra Dona Inês and really enjoyed my time there. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with large windows that bring in plenty of light. The staff were always welcoming and helpful, ready to assist with anything I needed, and that made a big difference to my stay. One of the highlights is the pool area – quiet, well-kept, and perfect to relax after walking around the city. The restaurant is also very good, offering a nice variety and a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel is well located: close enough to reach the center of Coimbra easily, but just far enough to enjoy a calm and quiet environment. Overall, it feels like a reliable and comfortable place, whether you’re here for work or leisure. I left with a very good impression and would definitely return.

Three proper single beds and some welcome sweets were the only positives. The hygiene was unacceptable: a dirty toilet with hair and feces, and a shower in poor sanitary condition. Later, we also noticed that the lower duvet sheets (not immediately visible) had blood stains. Welcome sweets and artificial fragrance cannot compensate for a lack of basic hygiene — especially in a 4-star hotel.

The rooms were clean and tidy and beds were comfortable. The hotel is well situated and close to all the local attractions either within walking distance or taxi. They have a swimming pool which is awesome for young and old alike. My ONLY gripe I had during my stay is that although all the rooms are none smoking, someone decided it was a good idea to to enjoy a cigarette in their room and the smoke wafted through all the adjoining rooms🤬 I did inform the hotel reception and they addressed the issue immediately, but unfortunately at around 02h30 in the morning, the inconsiderate smoker decided to light up one again inconveniencing everyone. While I appreciate the hotel has no control over over individuals, it did put a damper on the stay😬
