Pros: The location is exceptionally good, very close to the main tourist attractions and on an avenue full of shops, including supermarkets. The service and attentiveness of the staff are of the highest standard. The room is clean, well organised and comfortable. Breakfast is sumptuous, with a wide variety of items, and is served on the fifth floor, offering views of the main landmarks. The bar is open until 1 a.m. and includes a terrace with pleasant views and a lovely atmosphere. We were also gifted a regueifa at checkout, which was a delightful touch. Perfect. Cons: The only criticism I have is that the room had a slight damp smell upon arrival, which was resolved after leaving the window open for about two hours (although this was somewhat uncomfortable due to the cold). My suggestion would be to keep the windows open for ventilation during the rainy season.

The front desk staff provided excellent and very attentive service. The room soundproofing was slightly lacking, but the rooftop view was outstanding. Overall, it’s highly recommended as a hotel for a one- or two-night stay. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

Great accommodation. Very comfortable double bedroom. Excellent bathroom facility with best shower ever. Nice comfortable upper deck bar. Good hearty breakfast. Reception staff are super friendly and helpful.

A budget hotel that really is 3 star only but at 5 star prices. A great location but lacking character. The breakfast was of very poor quality served in a room with all the charm of a motorway service station. Staff were great, as is usual in Portugal but pleased we only stayed one night.

We took a bus from Lisboa to Coimbra. We knew there will be some cafes we can store our luggages according some websites we surfed. We asked the bus terminal staff and the MacDonalds where we can find some cafes taking care of luggages instead of lockers but we couldn’t make it. We walked in Hotel Oslo and enquired the same question. It came to an unexpected end- Staff Ines and Lurdes were so happy to let us store our luggages for free and introduced us the best panoramic view of Coimbra - on the roof top of the hotel and there is a bar opening from 17:00. Our flash stay in Coimbra began with such a heartwarming hospitality of Ines and Lurdes made as well as ended up to an unforgettable memory. Hotel Oslo having respectful and considerable staff Ines and Lurdes is its honor and all the coming guests’ pleasure. Thank you so much to Lurdes and Ines for your kind hospitality. Our short trip couldn’t be better without meeting you both. Hotel Oslo Coimbra will be our second to none choice if we get any chance to come back.
