5 / 5 Our train from Lisbon arrived in Coimbra almost an hour late due to the strike, but Clara’s welcoming smile and warm hospitality immediately made us feel at ease.
The room was spacious, comfortable mattress and pillows.
The location is excellent, close to everything, tourist sites, food, cafés (João dos Leitões with its famous suckling pig is just a 5-minute walk), and shops.
Breakfast was lovely! Most of the fruits came fresh from the owner’s garden, and the jams were homemade. I especially loved the quince marmelada—made by the owner herself, such a true labour of love.
A big thanks to Raquel, who brightened the breakfast room each morning with her sunshine smile and interesting conversation.
Hope to be back for a longer stay next time!

Great location, close to tourist sites, 15 minutes to Coimbra University, cafés, shops, and restaurants.

4 / 5 Great location. Nice room. Spent two nights. Near shuttle to train station and lots of restaurant options. Room could have used a dresser. There is certainly enough room for one. Windows are excellent. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Would stay again.
5 / 5 Carla and the other two younger guys at the front desk (sorry, never learned their names) are absolutely wonderful! All were very helpful and just nice. I would absolutely stay here again. Hotel is in a great spot too!
5 / 5 A great hotel, in an excellent location. Lovely, friendly staff. Clean, spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We will definitely be revisiting ☺️
