This hotel has a fantastic location right in the old town of Coimbra. The rooms are basic but they great views of the river and the wifi is good. The proprietress is friendly and helpful. It’s also good value for the price.
Wonderful basic lodgings. Very clean, simple yet comfortable. Nice (fairly firm) mattress. No hair dryer or coffee maker. The host speaks some English andais very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend this little gem!
Very pleasant stay, the lady at the reception was amazingly friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, cozy and warm, with a great view. It's an old beautiful building, but with no lift.

It's about the location. When my wife & I travel, we eschew higher end stays because we don;t have time to enjoy them. We travel to explore, and are in the community, not at our hotel. This place fills the bill nicely. Right on a main square at the river, down the street from manty restaurants, bakeries and shops. Basic European en suite rooms. Clean, safe, quiet and well located. And Hilda was a friendly host to us.
