Serenata Hostel & Suites

My stay in Serenata was wonderful. Normally I don't write reviews. But this time I really want to let the world now what a great place this is. The owners and crew were very open and warm. They take good care of the guests. And I'm recommending this place to everyone who's planning to visit Coimbra! The dorm was clean, loved the view out of the window in the morning! I'll definitely would go back to this beautiful place. 🍀 Leila

what a gorgeous hostel!! absolutely perfect location in central Coimbra, the room was stunning with beautiful city views and the staff were so friendly and helpful to get us sorted and give recommendations of what to do and see during our stay. The bathrooms and all shared facilities were well-maintained, clean and modern. HIGHLY recommend.

We had a wonderful experience in this hostel. We booked a private double room at the 3rd / last floor. We had a nice view of the university overlooking the city. You can feel that the building has stood the test of time, very well renovated and preserved as well. The wooden staircase is particularly impressive. Is it very central in the old Coimbra. Just beside Sé Velha (which I highly recommend visiting but beware, it closes quite early).

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel in Coimbra, set in a beautiful historical building. The building the hostel is in is so beautiful. You also get a towel for free which is not the case in most hostels. They offer breakfast which I didn't eat but it smelled wonderful. The staff is also really helpful. The location is also really central and you only have a few minutes to the university, but beware that everything is really steep in Coimbra
