Great bed and breakfast on the hill above Coimbra. A 10-15 minute walk to the town, but the reward is a quiet location. The hosts were great, provided good advice on things to do and see in town, good restaurants, etc. The kind of experience that gives B and Bs a good name.
Absolutely recommend. We stayed in a lot of places in our vacation in Portugal and this was my favorite by far. Sonia and Jonah are amazing hosts. Very welcoming and helpful. They really try to make their guests feel as comfortable as possible and to have them enjoy their stay as much as possible. Location is good. You need to walk a few minutes down the street to be in center. I recommend using Bolt to get back since you need to walk a bit up. Rooms are beautiful with fresh flowers, blackout and blackout windows and it’s super quiet. Good place to rest. Shower is very comfortable with good heat and pressure. Breakfast was very good.
Amazing place to stay! Very clean, pretty and modern. Comfortable bed, black out option for sleep. Staff is very friendly and ready to help, also provide extra information about what to do in The city. We were very happy to stay here and wished we could stay longer. In shower there is a shampoo, conditioner and body cream. Also fresh flowers in the room! 1000/10 for sure.
Absolute gem in Coimbra! We had a fantastic stay at Vila Julieta. The rooms have recently been modernized and are beautiful and clean. The location is a bit uphill, so you get a free workout by staying here. Other than that you’re in the old town super fast, it takes about 10 minutes to walk down to some pedestrian street. The breakfast was lovely - I would definitely stay again. Thanks for the fantastic hospitality!
Beautiful building, modern design, style and simple design. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was spacious. Hosts were amazing, extremely helpful, felt like we were at home! Spoke English/Portuguese (and other)languages. Breakfast was outstanding,delicious and healthy. Out door space was welcoming. Location was perfect, close enough to all the action yet far enough away to enjoy quiet time. Amazing pastry shop and minimarcardo with in 100 metres. We will return!!!
