Combarro is a fun little sea side town and this hotel is wonderful. Great rooms and amazing views from the balcony!! The owner is helpful and fun! I would love to come back and stay longer!!
Very clean, rooms nice with private restroom, mattress just okay, cafeteria provides basic necessities and a bar limited hours, very nice owners and orderly, a place to wash clothes and hang to dry. Upstairs patio to rest and see views. The location is very historic and touristy. Close to market. I would recommend.
Luis and his wife were splendid hosts at the hotel they have operated for more than 30 years. My room was clean, comfortable, had a wonderful view of the bay, and was stocked with everything I needed. In addition, Luis' wife had excellent suggestions for places to visit in town as well as places to stay on the Camino, how far to plan on going, and eased my concerns about the ascent out of town. As it began to rain overnight, I decided I didn't want to carry my backpack and contacted Luis early this morning to try to arrange for third party transport. Luis warned me that transport companies want arrangements finalized the day before so they could organize efficient pickups and deliveries. He doubted the transport could be arranged at the last moment. Nonetheless, he tried. He called and failed on the first three calls before getting lucky on the fourth. It made a huge difference for me as I didn't know how muddy, slippery, or treacherous the Camino would be on the first day of rain in the season. I was able to easily reach my destinations soaked, but there were no slips or mishaps. A great experience all around despite the rain. Please note that breakfast is not available in the slow season unless they have enough guests staying at the hotel. There is another restaurant next door as an option.
Lovely hotel with kind staff. Great view of the sea. Rooms are clean and well furnished.
Quiet rooms, good bathroom, special place to wash clothes and hang them, and a big terrace to enjoy the view. The manager cares about the customers and helped me a lot as I got sick there. A good place to stay, make a break or just enjoy beautiful Combarro village.
