Next to the famouse viewpoint, this charming hotel is a hidden gem for all who are looking for a affordable place to stay. Yes, this place has the charm of the 60s and 70s, but it is spotless clean, the staff is incredible helpful and friendly and if you have enjoyed the spectacules view from the breakfast room on the 4th floor and from your room you don't want to stay anywhere else. The neighbourhood (except the viewpoint) is quieter than the rest of the city center and you can enjoy local restaurants and bars. - ask for recommendations at the reception. Last but not least - the airport is just a 15 minutes taxi drive away.
Booked this hotel off booking. Com. Not sure where they got the 8 stars from but it's totally not worth it. The only good thing about this hotel is the view from your room. And that is if you get a room with a view. Breakfast was a total bummer. Literally no food. You are better off buying food in town than paying for breakfast at this hotel. The charge is so much for breakfast that is literally non-existent. I've had to go without breakfast for the days I was there. It's a really old hotel. Just great location and nothing else. And even for the location it's still overly priced. Some Staff were helpful tho
Good, clean room, didn't try the breakfast. The hotel is on top of a very steep hill, but the reward is the beautiful view, still very central though. Tram lines 28 and 12 serve the hotel, last one departs 21.30.
DO NOT BOOK HERE, when we arrived we were told we still had a room - we just couldn’t stay at this hotel, we would have to take a cab (and pay for it ourselves) to another hotel 2 kms away. When I searched up this new hotel it looked like a fleabag motel complete with many many 1 star reviews on google, and the kicker is this downgrade was €80 less than the amount they were charging us. Clearly this place is over booking their rooms and getting a kick back sending their overflow over by still charging for their original room rates. Slimy and scummy behaviour - do yourself a favour and book literally anywhere else
A hidden gem in Lisboa. Not a new family-run hotel, but everything is very well maintained. And you can enjoy the same view as the observation point of Monte Senhora during the entire stay if you choose the room to do so, but at least during the breakfast even if you don't.
