Bairro Alto Hotel

First time at this gorgeous hotel and it was definitely quite an experience! Everything felt so warmth from the moment we arrived till we left. The staff was very friendly and always tried to meet all our needs. The room felt unique and the amenities at the hotel were all top level. The restaurant is incredible and the rooftop is, without any doubt, one of the best views over the city. An experience to repeat for sure...

The location of the hotel is great for exploring the area and the rest of Lisbon although it is not as central as other locations. If you want to stay in Bairro Alto, then this is the place to do it but hotels in the lower part of Lisbon are more central for exploring the rest of the city. Our allocated room was clean and comfortable. The service level was good. While we enjoyed our stay here, I would say this is a good hotel but compared to other properties we stayed at in Portugal, this hotel was more mainstream and not noteworthy in any particular way.

We spent three nights at the Bairro Alto recently and were very pleased with the experience. I can't compare it to other hotels in Lisbon, but in isolation I would definitely recommend it, and would definitely return. - Great location for exploring the city. - Excellent design and decor throughout. High quality fixtures, fittings and furnishings. Plenty of space to unwind in, should you wish to. - Very nice bedrooms, comfortable beds. Excellent soundproofing on the windows, meant it was surprisingly quiet for a city centre hotel. Also (and this is a rarity), soft close bedroom doors, which meant no disturbance from fellow guests coming and going! - Good, clean gym (albeit small) with new equipment. - Great restaurant, including an outdoor terrace (with panoramic views of the river Tagus) where we ate breakfast each morning. The food was very good. - Great bar area on the top floor, with similarly panoramic views. I will say that the service was a bit haphazard one evening but that's a minor quibble. - Very friendly and efficient staff.

Lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Our room was spacious and clean. The front desk was extremely helpful making reservations and suggestions. Breakfast overlooking the river was a highlight - as was ending the evening with a drink on the rooftop every evening. We were hard pressed to find a better view. The service throughout was friendly and attentive. Well done and highly recommended!

This may have been the best experience at any hotel I've ever had. Every one of the staff members here was incredibly kind and professional from start to finish and went out of their way to make sure that we had a good stay here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I will definitely be back!
