Our stay at Bairro Alto Hotel was nothing short of exceptional! The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore everything Lisbon has to offer. From the moment we arrived, the service was second to none. We were warmly welcomed with a glass of Ginja, which was such a thoughtful touch. Every day, we were delighted to find a new snack and drink waiting for us, adding an extra layer of hospitality that made our stay feel truly special. Breakfast was outstanding—delicious, quick, and served with excellent attention to detail. The variety and quality of the food made for the perfect start to our mornings. If you’re looking for a luxurious, welcoming, and perfectly located hotel in Lisbon, I highly recommend staying here. We can’t wait to return!

This the definition of a 5 star hotel. We were especially impressed with the staff’s friendly, welcoming attitudes. No first class snobbery here - just comfortable, clean, luxurious rooms; a lovely breakfast; and thoughtful, attentive service in a great part of town. Lots of no added cost extras too (for example, a glass of ginjinha upon arrival and healthy snacks in the room).You should stay here when in Lisbon!

The room was immaculate, beautifully designed, and filled with every amenity we could possibly need. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, and the view from our window was a delightful bonus. The location is perfect—close enough to major attractions to make getting around a breeze, but tucked away enough to feel like a peaceful retreat after a busy day of exploring. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff. From the concierge who helped us plan our itinerary to the housekeeping team who left personalized notes, everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We can’t recommend this hotel enough and will absolutely be returning for another stay. If you’re looking for luxury, comfort, and top-notch service, this is the place to be!

Exceeded our expectations! We stayed at a number of different 5 star hotels across Europe this past Nov/Dec and Bairro was by far the best we stayed in. I was travelling for work ( Travel Agent) and we loved every part of our stay. The location is perfect, rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The service made the trip! We were greeted the minute we stepped out of the car and the staff went above and beyond for us.

I was lucky to spend two nights at this genuinely boutique hotel this week and I was so pleased that I chose a hotel which was smaller than the ones I typically stay in when travelling for business. Without any hint of exaggeration each and every member of staff here showed a commitment to welcoming me by name and making every second of my experience memorable. The restraunt in the hotel is spectacular for both dinner and breakfast and I just wish I wasn't dealing with as much jetlag as I was which impeded my ability to enjoy fully. The location is very handy with some of Lisbon's best restaurants (of which there are many) all on the doorstep of the hotel and the river a very short stroll away. Thank you to the owners, management and staff at the Bairro Alto Hotel and I will be back!
