5 / 5 Loved it! Very clean. We had the Superior Triple Twin room which was nice with teens because the it was almost like two rooms in one. Location is unbeatable! Easy access to many restaurants and shopping centers as well as area attractions. Short walk to the bay and to the Castelo de São Jorge. Less than 5 minute walk to the metro. Highly recommend.
3 / 5 The location was perfect — you really pay only for the location. The room was very basic but needs a significant renovation. The walls need painting, and the wooden fixtures should be checked and replaced if they’re damaged, moistures on walls and shower. The bed was okay, but the pillows should be replaced with new and better ones. The bathroom was extremely small and very tight, especially in the rooms where the toilet and faucet are on the same wall. You could barely move in the WC; it was very narrow. The shower was okay but also in need of renovation. The room had an unpleasant smell, possibly from the sewage system. Cleaning was average, with daily cleaning and towel changes. The staff were generally okay, but the lady at breakfast — the Asian woman — was rude and unfriendly for no apparent reason. Breakfast starts at 7:30, but not all the food is ready at that time, so you have to wait for eggs, bacon, etc., if you are in a hurry. Breakfast was average to poor.
Overall 3/5: location 5/5; service/rooms 2/5 at best.
4 / 5 I couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The hotel is in a perfect location – right in the middle of the shopping district, yet somehow tucked away enough to feel peaceful and far from the madding crowd. The service at reception was brilliant – warm, professional, and always ready to help. We especially appreciated how accommodating they were with our left luggage, as we took a short getaway to Morocco and everything was handled seamlessly. The 2 things I thought they could improve are to provide better pillows and maybe a couple of bottles of water in the room.
Overall, excellent comfort and great value for money. Highly recommended!
1 / 5 Awful hotel. Very run down and the rooms are tiny. The bathroom is so small that you have to sit sideways on the toilet as there is a tiny gap to the shower. When you are in the shower it's almost impossible to move.
The breakfast was gross. They said they would refund this but it's not true. Whenever you chase the refund (which I have done many, many times, you either don't get a reply or get told:
'Good morning, your request was redirected to the Reservations Department'
Which is meaningless (it's not over 2 months since the mysterious/ non existent 'Reservations Department' got on the case. It's the same when you are there. No one can deal with any issue so you will not get any problems resolved.
It's not even cheap! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - do not stay in this terrible place
3 / 5 Great location – that is defs the big win here! Rooms are basic but absolutely fine! Shower is tight but for £85 ish per night in this location - we thought it was absolutely fine!Wouldn’t necessarily stay again but only because there are many hotels like this, although there is no reason not to book… Beds were fairly firm… All just very standard! The word of the day is ‘fine’!
