Fantastic period hotel set in the centre of Lisbon in Rossio Square. We spent 6 nights there and could not fault it, great clean rooms, wonderful and cheerful staff who were extremely helpful with tips and advice. Perfect English spoken. The breakfast is buffet style, plentiful, fresh and excellent selection. We would go back at a moments notice.

Location is fair as its super central but also surrounded by dealers and homeless. Hotel is very aged, safe in room not working, shower is a hand held system. Towels are ancient. Breakfast is good. 2 star at best, but needs a clean and facelift.

Check in was a breeze. Reception located on level 1 ("street level" is level 0.) To get to street level elevator you have to negotiate several steps, so there is no handicapped access. Elevator is small. Room keys are physical keys and tou get only one. Staff are very very nice and helpful. I give staff 5 stars. The room is relatively large with ample room for at least 4 suitcases if needed. There is a large closet, large TV, a small refrigerator, more than ample drawers to store clothes, 2 nitestands, a King sized bed, 3 chairs a small bech for a suitcase and a safe. The staff will give you a lock to the safe if you ask for one. Bathroom is small with a shower stall and a sink, and toilet. The water pressure is variable, and when taking a shower the water can sometimes get hot or cold, but seems like the longer you are in the shower, the less of a problem it is. The included buffet breakfast was good. The hotel is near a grocery store, lots of shops and restaurants and walking distance from many attractions. We did use ubers and taxis at times. Tuk-Tuks are too expensive, in my opinion to use as taxis. So in summary the biggest ding would be the varying water pressure while taking a shower so I give this place an overall rating of 4 out of 5 stars. In any event the staff are super. I would come back to this hotel if returned to Lisbon.

This hotel is directly in the square and lined with restaurants. The rooms are spacious with a small fridge but we didn’t need more. The bathrooms are large with a tub that’s deep. Our balcony opened to the square and we were able to sit out there a few nights we were here. The staff was amazing especially the young lady working breakfast and brining coffee. The breakfast was absolutely delightful and more that I anticipated.

We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. Even though we arrived late at night, the receptionist was kind, patient, and welcoming. He recommended places to see in the city and gave us a map. We received a free upgrade to a room with an amazing view of Rossio Square and the castle on the fifth floor. The highlight is the hotel’s excellent location — right on Rossio Square, close to the metro station and bus stops. There’s a supermarket within a short walking distance, as well as a McDonald’s branch. The room was clean, spacious, and pleasant, with air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Breakfast was nice and fresh, with a friendly staff. Note that the bathtub is quite high, so it might be a bit challenging for those with mobility difficulties, and there are a few steps at the hotel entrance before reaching the elevator. We will definitely return :)
