We have been there over a long weekend. It was not our first time there. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the location is perfect. Only a few minutes walkway to the Metro station Terreiro do Paço, the river Tejo and to the historic old town. Our room was very small this time but still nice and clean. They have beautiful rooms with river view and they have A/C which can be used as heater also. Important for cold days. And not all hotels have it.

Excellent location of this hotel close to the waterfront and many restaurants and shops. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Only negative is that our bathroom was a little dark. Stayed here 4 nights and would definitely stay again.

Really loved the hotel! Perfect location, cosy and relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast is very basic, but it didn't bother me at all as I'm not a big eater first thing in the morning.

Excellent location for this hotel. It is right next by the city center of Lisbon, yet it is in a relatively calm area and I was never disturbed by outside noise. Windows are indeed quite well insulated with respect to noise. Sometimes you can hear the steps of the persons above due to the wooden floor but it was never really a problem. Staff was extremely nice and helpful going out of its way to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfast was excellent with a large variety of choices. Still, price for the hotel was quite reasonable. Definitely a hotel I recommend.

Overall, we had a great stay at Riverside Alfama. The location is perfect for walking to main attractions and is located right next to many great shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there is a cute tile shop attached to the lobby. The room was very quiet as well, and turn down service was done daily. A few things to note: The linens (i.e. bedsheets and towels) had a mildew smell to them - even the fresh ones - like what happens when you forget the laundry in the washer for a day or two. The fourth floor hallway had a strange smell as well, but not to strong that it made us request a change or anything. Breakfast was very good for what it was, which included a lot of fresh pastries, bread, yogurt, fruit, and sliced cheese and ham. There are no hot items and it's very heavy on sweet pastries and lacks savory items like eggs to balance the breakfast, but everything was fresh and baked day of. They start the breakfast pretty late at 8:00, but we're able to accommodate a 7:30 breakfast if requested a day in advance, which was nice. I do feel like the nightly rate was pretty high for what was offered (we paid 210€ per night) but overall I would recommend staying here, especially if you're visiting Lisbon at a time when rates are lower.
