5 / 5 We booked one of the private rooms at the hostel and it was absolutely amazing. Super clean and comfortable. Washrooms were shared between 3-4 rooms and were very clean. I just wanted to say thank you to the front desk for taking care of my husband when he fell sick and got the flu. We booked an extra night here at the last minute and the front desk was able to arrange the same room saving us the hassle of moving/packing. Also they were so kind and caring in offering medications, thermometer and warm winter blankets (This was in early June, so they had to go digging for winter stuff). We would 100% recommend this hostel! Great breakfast too! :)
4 / 5 Really nice place to stay in Lisbon. Great location, good restaurants, cafes and places go go near by.
Also you have the train station that leads you Cascais really close by. Also the greatest view!
The only thing is the bathrooms, they can get really dirty (by the guests) and i didn’t them cleaned up daily. - It’s always going to depend on the kind of guest you have-
Julio at the front desk was really nice and helpful.
1 / 5 I am suffering from a painful knee injury, and the guy at reception refused to switch me to a bottom bunk when I checked in. He acted like it was very complicated, even though there were empty bottom bunks in my room when I walked in.
Really unfriendly when I first arrived too - just overall rude customer service. They would benefit from hiring some kinder people who are more fit for hospitality
1 / 5 I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience at this hotel was so unbelievably disappointing that I feel obliged to warn other travelers. From the very beginning, it was clear that this place had nothing to do with the photos or descriptions advertised online.
The staff were shockingly rude and unhelpful. Instead of welcoming us with a smile, they acted as if we were bothering them just by checking in. Any question we asked whether about the Wi-Fi, directions, or simply how to get some fresh towels was met with an eye roll or a dismissive answer. It felt like customer service was completely nonexistent, as if guests were an inconvenience rather than the reason the hotel is supposed to exist.
The rooms themselves were even worse. They were tiny to the point of being claustrophobic, with barely enough space to open a suitcase. On top of that, the heat inside the room was unbearable. There was no proper air conditioning, only a broken fan that made more noise than it provided relief. Sleeping there felt like trying to rest inside an oven. I barely got any rest during my entire stay.
The bathroom was another nightmare. The shower was absolutely filthy, with mold in the corners and grime that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The smell alone was nauseating, and I honestly felt dirtier after stepping out of the shower than before. It’s hard to believe that in this day and age a hotel can allow such conditions and still expect guests to pay for them.
The breakfast was really dissapointing, no bread, nothing for vegan people, even had stomach ache.
To make matters even worse, the elevator was constantly broken. We had to carry our luggage up several flights of stairs, which was exhausting, especially after long days out in the city. For elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues, this would have been completely impossible.
In short, this hotel is a complete disaster. Between the hostile staff, suffocating rooms, disgusting showers, and useless facilities, I cannot imagine a worse experience. It ruined what should have been a pleasant trip, and I would strongly advise anyone reading this to avoid it at all costs. There are countless other options in the city do yourself a favor and book literally anywhere else.
