Lisbon Destination Hostel

I had a really, really great stay in Destination Hostel Lisboa during my month-long trip to Europe. The staff were super friendly, while also being very polite. They made sure I felt at home. Especially, I'd like to thank João and Jenny, who first guided me through the hostel. They were the ones I went to whenever I needed some help. The beds were clean with curtains for privacy. My personal space felt cozy enough, but I really enjoyed spending time in the common area. The common area was decorated beautifully and had comfortable seats to rest on. It is within walking distance from Comércio Plaza and Augusta Street, so you can go find great restaurants and shops pretty easily. Interestingly enough, the hostel is located on the second floor of Rossio train station, so if you are planning on using the train, this hostel can be a great option. Overall, I highly recommend this hostel! I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Lisboa:)

Very, very nice hostel. Probably the nicest I've ever been in. Restrooms are in room which almost never happens. Location is central but of course very busy because it is at a train station. The front desk person Jose was incredibly kind and very helpful. Sara was fantastic too! I would recommend going in the fado tour they have. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler.

I felt very comfortable staying at this hostel. It was exactly what I was looking for: a calm atmosphere with friendly people. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. There are fridges and spacious common areas with power outlets and places to work if you need to. After staying in two other hostels, this was the only one with really good hot water. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. I stayed in a 10-bed shared room with a bathroom and shower inside, and there are also bathrooms outside the rooms. For me, it’s a 10/10. Thank you!

I was warmly welcomed by the manager, João, who was in the process of checking in another guest and took the time to introduce us, immediately creating an inclusive and friendly atmosphere. He was very outgoing and helpful, offering thoughtful recommendations not only around Lisbon but also for the next part of my trip in the Azores. I arrived before check-in and was still able to store my luggage and take a shower, which was greatly appreciated. Although I only stayed for one night, it was clear the hostel has a very social atmosphere and is in a great location. I would happily stay here again.

I loved my stay here! Sara checked me in at the front desk and was amazing. She immediately made me feel welcome and safe after a stressful day of travel, and even gave me great recommendations on a niche topic i was curious to explore. The showers were hot with a really nice rain showerhead. The lobby is exactly as beautiful as all the pictures show!
