3 / 5 First about the pros. Very good location, near the embankment, central square, public transport stop, market, pink street. The common area is very spacious and beautiful with designer trinkets. Breakfast is self-service, but there is enough of everything. There are eggs, sausages, bacon, tomatoes, fruits, muesli, coffee, tea.
But the room itself is not very cozy, completely empty and boring. There is nothing in it except a bed, a shelf, a sofa and a noticeable hanger.
The bathroom and toilet are private but through a common corridor. It is difficult to find pros here, it is inconvenient, all the time running with the keys to the toilet and back.
But the worst thing is to return in the evening. All three days on the street in front of the entrance there was a terrible stench. Someone was relieving himself. In the entrance itself in the evening there are a lot of huge cockroaches.
5 / 5 If you wish to stay in an of yore building in the most vibrant neighborhood of Lisbon. Be here.
At Lost Lisbon Cais House, you will see the preserved past in bits and pieces and become part of the time travel.
Walking distance to most of the tourist spots, great eateries and pubs.
Cleanliness and hygiene intact. The owner was always helpful.
Note: Breakfast here is also an experience. Don't mind the self help. Enjoy it.
5 / 5 The location is perfect, there is no reception but if we saw any stuff (for example the cleaning lady) they were really kind and welcoming. Breakfast tastes good, it feels like a breakfast at home since you have to take from a fridge and make everything yourself. (there is a stovetop to make eggs or warm up milk)
Room was really clean and big. You have an own bathroom, directly on the other side of the sleeping room. Bathroom also was big.
There is also a chill area which
is called „living room“, where you can relax all day.
5 / 5 It’s a cross between a hotel and a bed and breakfast. It’s not an upgraded hostel. There’s a common area like a hotel has a sitting room or a breakfast area. It’s just more welcoming and people talk more to each other. It’s decorated by artists. Rooms have a minimalist feel. Good pillows! I find it perfect. If it were a bit cheaper, I’d come to place like this to stay a couple weeks. Rooms and bathroom are large, very clean. Some possible negatives (just not for me) is it’s 2 floors up by stairs (many of them), no A/C (a fan) and no TV. The host/manager is nice and accessible. Great location.
4 / 5 The location is Excellent, across from the sea, with lovely, helpful staff—clean, spotless rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast is available self serve, full fridge and fresh fruits. What a cute and well decorated Hostel. Yes there was construction going next door but with the windows closed the noise was reduced. My concern was the area has some rundown buildings and graffiti. When we checked in, and late at night, the entire alley stunk like urine up to the front entrance! The smell carried through the entrance up to the second floor of the building. I loved the stay here, great please but the stinknis unacceptable. Not the hostels fault. Too bad! I would hose off the entrance at least 2 times a day!
