The photos of the place are enhanced. The place is more dismal and decrepit. It is not a 4.4 or 8.9 rating There were many disappointments: 1) upon entry there is a smell of mold and sewer gas. 2) it is very old and a bit dirty. 3) luggage storage room is open to anyone and they will not check to see who may accidentally take your luggage 4) the sofas are either torn or ripped to the point the stuffing was falling out. 5) shower floor had mold 6) the cord to the hair dryer is so short, your face is in the mirror 7) breakfast was poor. Bread had mold, cereal was stale, you had to wait to cook your own eggs. 8) Since we had to leave early, we got yelled at for starting breakfast 15 minutes early. 9) way more expensive than the quality received 10) the rooms are on the second floor with no elevator or help to get the luggage upstairs. 11) it is difficult to understand the glowing reviews which we based our decision to stay here.

Easy check in. Very kind and polite staff. Comfortable, clean rooms, very good breakfast. Hair dryer is available. Electric kettle is inside kitchen. No refrigerator inside room. There is a luggage room that you can leave your luggage after checking out. Very good location. Bathroom is private but it is outside the room.

- The location is perfect, it’s in the middle of the city where you can walk anywhere - The house gives me the feeling of being at home where you can cook your own breakfast, chilling with the lovely cat,Almada in the living area before you go out - The staff is nice, giving you freedom to live like your home *For cat lovers, you will love Almada, a friendly cat who loves to be pet and hugged, I can’t wait to go back to visit and pet him again 🥹 P.S. cat lovers ,please visit and give him love 🥰🥰

While it is a pretty house, you shouldn’t book this in the summertime. There’s no air conditioning and it was too hot at night. And you have to cook your own eggs as if it was a hostel. I think I wouldn’t book this again even if the location was perfect. It’s too expensive for the room and services you get.

Charming accommodations on a quiet street within a central neighborhood. Antonio (and his friendly cat Almada) was a lovely host. I will be staying here again on my next trip to Lisbon!
