I'm giving 3 stars overall due to two reasons. 1. We made our reservation on Airbnb, and they really make it look like a shared appartment not a hostel with a lot of rooms. 2. The walls are made out of cardboard, like literally... We can hear everything, and idk what was going on on the floor above us but it destroyed my sleep 😤

I booked a 3-night stay at Saturdays the day before arrival, thinking it’d be a smooth, easy check-in. Naive of me, really. As I’m in the Uber on the way there, I realized I never got the promised check-in email. The one that’s supposed to tell you where to go and how to actually get into the place, pretty crucial for a self-check-in hotel. I emailed them. No response. Called. Voicemail. My driver dropped me off at the ā€œlocationā€ with my two giant bags and I wasn’t sure I was in the right place. No signage. No front desk. No instructions. Just me, my luggage, and a growing sense of stress. As anyone would, I hung out at a nearby beer bar for two hours with my bags like some abandoned tourist, hoping I’d hear back, to no avail. Eventually I gave up and booked another hotel (Rossio Garden — 10/10, would recommend). They managed to check me in within five minutes. Wild concept to the staff of Saturdays, I know. It’s been over 24 hours and still no word from Saturdays. At this point, I’m just hoping to get my deposit back and pretend this never happened. Wouldn’t recommend unless you enjoy standing on a random street corner with luggage that doesn’t travel well on cobblestone streets, wondering if your hotel ever actually existed.

Pretty good value for a good location in Lisbon. My room (503) was very small but the bed was surprisingly comfy! The place is clean and the kitchen has the essentials, although a hot water kettle would have been convenient for making coffee/tea. Shower water gets hot and they do provide you with a single towel (a second towel would have been nice). I can confirm that yes, as of this posting there is still construction going on right outside. I’m a heavy sleeper so it didn’t bother me - this is a city after all and you’re gonna have noises outside constantly. It’s part of the ambiance. Also there is no A/C in the room. I had to sleep with the window open to be cool enough, but it was perfect. I would imagine in August this would be uncomfortable.. All in all, this is a perfectly fine apartment building good for travelers passing through or remote workers. I enjoyed my stay. Check in and out was simple. Last thing - I did find it difficult to get in touch with a manager. I wanted to extend my stay but no one replied through the contact channels I had (via Hostelworld). This could be improved.

For this price (very cheap) is definitely five stars. Clean and cosy. I find it ridiculous people complaining in the comments like they paid for a hotel:)

Cons: very small rooms, uncomfortable mattress, too hot, no aircon, loud, smells like heating smoke from chimneys around, bathroom not clean Pro: good area, self check in Would not recommend for longer than 1 night or medium standards
