Fantastic! Its so nice and CLEAN! Plus it feels like an actual home. Great amenities and kitchen. If you can snag a night here, do that, it was one of the best, if not THE best on the route.
This place is one of the nicest Albergue (Inn) on the Portuguese Coastal Camino. While it costs a bit more than your average walk-in Albergue, the owner Tanya is a pilgrim and she understands how it feels to roll in after walking hot and dusty in the heat. You get a free cold welcome drink, the water pressure is amazing and wonderful, and in the morning a free, freshly baked croissant (plain or chocolate) there are two nice places for dinner nearby. Such a treat to beat the heat near the sea and the lovely monastery nearby.
A true gem on our first day in Spain! We received such a warm welcome from Tanya with a fresh drink to relax after a long day of walking. The Inn is so clean, beautifully decorated and offers all the amenities you need to rest, prepare your own meals and even do your laundry. A fresh croissant in the morning spices up the deal!
WOW! What a surprise on our journey to Santiago! This place is such a gem in so many aspects: a cute village, a welcoming beer/drink, amazing views of both the church and the ocean, cozy clean rooms with great mattresses, two perfectly clean nice bathrooms, a well-equipped spacious kitchen to prepare your own meals, free use of washing and drying machines, free coffee, croissant in the morning, and as a cherry on top - Tanya is a great host who is a native American, so you will not have any problems communicating with her. The only "downside" is that reservations aren't possible, but when you end up here, you certainly know why you walked, and this comes as a great reward after a tiring day.
I wish I can give 6stars for this accommodation. First star is for Tanya, the hospitalera who's very kind and attentive. The second star is for the view from the room which is UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL. You can see the church, mountains, and sea from the bedroom. Crazy. Third star is for the welcome drink we got when we arrive. Small thing, but so meaningful when you just finish walking for more than 20km. Fourth star is for the coffee, tea, and pastry that the inn provided for the breakfast. Lovely. Fifth star is for the washing machine (include detergent) and dryer that pilgrim can use for free 🥹🥹🥹 SO KIND. And sixth star is for the fact that this inn did not receive booking (not commercialize) but rather for pilgrims only. I WANT TO CRY 🥲 THE BEST ALBERGUE THAT I'VE EVER VISITED. Hands down🙌🏾 thank you Tanya! 🫶🏾🥰
