A parada do camiño

We wanted to stop for a coffee and food after walking over 20kms in the rain. The owner / manageress (not sure what she was) was extremely rude and would not let me come in with my backpack even though all the other patrons inside had their backpacks with them. She literally shouted at me in front of everyone in the restaurant as i was entering. So rude...then when a local arrived, she changed completely and was as friendly as anything, never making eye contact with me again while I was there waiting for my travel companions to finish their awful sandwiches which were dry and without any butter. She did not even ask if I would like to order anything, totally ignoring me. I went outside to wait with my bag until my friends had finished gobbling down the dry sandwiches. So bad!! Wish I could give this place a zero instead of a 1 star

So many issues. 1: the fitted sheets supplied didn’t fit the beds. They were way too small so unusable. 2: no hot water. Read the reviews, this is a constant theme, not a one off. After hiking 25km in the rain, I just wanted to be warm and clean. 3: the bedroom lights don’t turn off through the night. 4: the person doing check in also ran the bar, so check in was super rushed. Nothing was explained about getting in and out after hours, or wifi details. 5: the bottom bunk is literally on the floor. Way too low.

We arrived after a long camino walk. The angry host just started ranting at us, then ignored us. I think she was trying to tell us she was busy, but then she spent ages chatting with others. We left after 20 minutes and went to a much friendly auberge next door. Lost my booking fee, but who cares. Wouldn't bother if I were you.

Shocking lady! Shouted at all the wet pilgrims. Terrible food. Avoid!
