Eco? More like: Eeek! Oh no... We stayed at ecorooms for one night on our camino trek. Of the 13 places we stayed, this place ranks dead last. Communication was confusing, with two people sending conflicting instructions at the same time. Thinking they were messaging each other when they were messaging us. In some cases, communication was flat out wrong (insisting repeatedly that the tourist office was open Saturday when there was a sign on the door indicating it is closed Saturdays) Upon arrival, there was no one to greet us, which was not a big problem. However, it was locked up tighter than a bank vault and more difficult to get in than solving a 5x5 Rubiks cube: where's the front door, how do we unlock the front door, how do we unlock the hostel door, how do we unlock the room. How do we unlock the bathroom door? When we entered, the hostel had a stale smell. Upon entering our bedroom, the musty/moldy smell hit us like a brick wall. After moving the bed, we discovered it was coming from under the floor, which had buckled by at least 3 inches. The baseboards were also covered in mold (see attached picture). We informed them that upon entering, there was no toilet paper at all in the hostel. We were told to use the paper hand towels even though there is a sign indicating not to flush hand towels into the toilet (you really want us to put $hitty towels in the garbage?) There was no offer to bring any and we didn't see the hosts at all during our stay. We ended up taking some TP from a restaurant. The layout is brutal with the kitchen and kitchen table in opposite corners of the hostel. The kitchen did not have any pots/pans/cutlery, so cooking was not an option. The free 'breakfast' consisted of 2 slices of white bread in plastic wrap with a pad of jam and butter, a tea bag, a chocolate powder mix, and 2 mini muffins like you would find in a cheap grocery store. I guess it at least contained calories. Do yourself a favour - give this place a pass.

Disadvantages * No signs outside, quite difficult to find * Room #1 has no window. I mean it is exactly exists but it goes all the way true place were they store stuff for washing the rooms. You need to go and open the door to balcony and after window. Smells terrible, or vinegar or some comical fluid. * They charge full price for this room * They didn’t say anything about the window and how to open the window. * We arrived at 12-30. Room wasn’t ready. We were literally forced to go outside for one more hour. Advantages * Nice location * Nice view from the windows only if it is not room 1 !!! * Including a little breakfast * Nice shower

It is not a good ideea to have " shared bathroom" with many people. You pay 50 euro per night, but all the people need at toilete. Add 10 euro and you will have a private bathroom. It was our fault to stay here. Besides of this, there are a lot of codes just you enter at NASA.

Eco room need to put a sign outside to let people k ow where thay are as not signage anywhere. Rooms are nice and clean+ comfortable. We were in the room with a double window into the utility room. It was a bit weird when people came to wash their clothes just outside. Breakfast was simple bread for toasting butter jam a selection of hot drinks and buns.

Great location, there is a open market during the weekend which is nice to have a look.
