Stayed here for a night - rooms slightly dated but importantly clean and comfortable for a good night of rest. Had the pilgrm set lunch and it was really filling, standout dish would definitely have to be the flan 🍮!
The room was little bit small but is clean and tidy, quiet and near camino. Ver good stay before arrival in Santiago de Compostela. In the restaurant they serve good menu for a good price.
Very dishonest place. My partner already pay for the room through the Agoda portal but when we arrived at the Pension Grillo, the male staff said he had not received the payment from Agoda and asked us to pay for the room. While my partner took out his credit card, this male staff asked him whether he had the cash as he preferred cash so my partner paid him €48 in cash. Now that we are back home and my partner just received his credit card statement and it has shown that he has already paid UK£40.10 to Agoda for the reservation of Pension Grillo. It is obvious that we have been conned. Please avoid this place if you can.
The main issue are the walls. You hear just everything from the hallway and other rooms. Everything looks old and the mattress are not great. The price is ok, but under this budget we had much better.
I have been double charged by Pension Grillo. I booked through the Agoda portal and paid on 17th April 2024 for £40.10 using my credit card. When we arrived at the Pension Grillo on 19th April 2024, the male staff told me that he had not received the payment from Agoda and asked me to pay. When I took out my credit card, he asked me whether I had cash to pay. He said he preferred cash. I told him I had cash so I paid him €48 in cash. Today I received my credit card statement and it showed that I did pay to Agoda for the reservation of Pension Grillo. It means that I have been double charged. I have submitted a dispute to Agoda. But I am very disappointed the male staff who served us is a very dishonest person. He knew I had already paid through Agoda. He was taking a chance to con me. Lesson learnt for me. Please avoid this place if you can.
