Hotel do Norte Review The location of Hotel do Norte is excellent, situated in a very convenient and attractive area. However, the overall experience inside the hotel could benefit from some improvements. The rooms feel outdated, and security was a concern, as there were attempts by others to open the doors. Additionally, the in-room phones were not functioning properly. The single room upstairs had a particularly strong and unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom, which impacted the comfort of the stay. While the hotel has great potential due to its prime location, it would benefit from updates to the rooms and improvements in plumbing and general maintenance.
Couldn’t stay the 3 nights I booked, only one due to very strong smell of cleaning products which makes my allergies and asthma bad. I couldn’t breath, didn’t sleep at all. The next morning in the common areas it was worse, strong smell of bleach. Noisy bed also. Basically the staff said it is a 2 star hotel… so I guess he meant it’s fine to be bad. It was quite expensive for what it is. Still waiting the refund for the 2 nights I didn’t use. Plus quite dirty toilet. Terrible!
Was very bad experience and room was so small bathroom also it’s very small bed was very uncomfortable room was smelling bad and also when we arrive reception man asking about city tax and he cheat with us we paid there extra money for city tax that was not legel please aware from this man when u will arrive there then he demand from you more money and we paid becoz he said it’s city tax big scammer totally unsatisfied from this hotel why you take online payment if you want some extra money from counter shame on you 😢😡not recommended this hotel I will shot you receipt also which one we paid at counter
Nice people working there, situated in a great area. However, the rooms are very basic, smell weird (pipes) and are quite noisy (but thet’s the case in every cheaper hotel in Porto I guess). It’s an ok hotel if you are looking for a cheap place to stay in a great area, but do not expect greatness. The beds are ok but very small.
