Great location, on the edge of the historic centre - though the approach to the entrance wasn't the most salubrious. Pleasant staff. Rooms fairly basic (no tea/coffee facilities or fridge/minibar) but comfortable. Comfy bed (I like how the sheets are only wrapped round the mattress topper so they don't get dislodged when you untuck the covers to get in!). Shower head bracket in my room was a bit loose so only the force of the water held the shower head in position and it had to be caught when I turned the shower off. My room was at the back and was quiet except for rain dripping onto the window sill. Breakfast was good.

The hotel is well located in the heart of the city. Its 10 minutes from the Sao Bento railway station and 10 minutes from nearest metro. Finding the entrance on our first visit was confusing, as we were expecting a reception right in front. But it seems like the reception was on 3rd floor, which we quickly figured out. The check-in was seamless. We had already done the online check-in. So, as soon we appeared in-front of the reception desk, we were handed our key cards. The room and the washroom was clean. We did see a bit of molds growing on the shower area but wasn't that bad.

One of the nicest Ibis hotels I’ve stayed at. A relaxed, friendly atmosphere and a very warm welcome from the staff. The room design is interesting and modern, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely come back.

This hotel is just outside the main tourist areas. Most places can be reached within a 20 minute walk, but beware, there are lots of fairly steep hills. Our room didn't have a fridge or a kettle, but we were able to purchase hot drinks from the bar. You can pre-book breakfast, but we just paid for one the last morning, there is a good selection for around €10. There is a cafe in the supermarket below. The rooms are basic but clean, our towels were changed every day. There seems to be only one power point, which is near the window, on the opposite side of the room to the mirror, so bring a long extension lead for straighteners, the hairdryer in the bathroom was very good though.Staff are friendly.

The hotel was very basic in a rather run down area of Porto. The restaurant was terrible, they didn’t have many things that were on the menu. What they did have appeared to be ‘ready meals’ that they reheated to order. My chicken curry tasted ok but was lukewarm. The room was minimalist, I had to ask reception for a kettle and ‘borrow’ cups from the restaurant. Overall, considering the price (€143 per night) this hotel was very disappointing!
