The hotel is great. The breakfast is truly amazing - I think one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had. The downside is the rooms. They are not bad. But very badly insulated (we heard multiple different neighbors when they were talking at normal volume). The shower should be better shielded from the bathroom (maybe fix it on the bottom) - as it is, Water goes on the floor easily.
I stayed at this hotel for one night to do a short visit of Porto. And the quality is way beyond of any Mecure branded hotel I’ve ever visited. I got free upgrade from a normal room to the panoramic privilege room, early check in at 13 and late checkout at 16 with no problem at all. The breakfast was good, nothing special but hearty. When I checked out I was asking to purchase one umbrella and the team decided to give me a brand new one as a gift, I also had my finger cutted during the day out and at check out I asked for a bandage and one lady cared to even sanitise my cut with some iodine tincture, I was amazed lol. Consider I’ve pre booked another 2 nights in this October for my planned vacation. I must say I cannot wait to come back:-) thanks everyone to make my stay truly memorable!
Great location! Fantastic staff who are willing to accomodate anything. Kids eat breakfast for free as long as they are with adults. This hotel is close to pretty much every iconic places around Lisbon. The rooms are super nice and have great views
I arrived early and Selma was able to check me in early which was great after the long flight. Check in was super smooth, and the room was clean and comfortable. Joseph on the bar team was extremely personable and we had great conversation. The only dings that I experienced was one morning there was no hot water, but a minor inconvenience the hotel had it up and running a few hours later, and there was a power outage for a few hours one day… but again a very mild inconvenience. I would absolutely stay here again, the location and price couldn’t be beat. And it is a very short walk to the train station and very close to the metro.
A very nice, clean hotel. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The food and drinks at the bar and restaurant were surprisingly very good and our waitress was outstanding! The location was excellent as it was within walking distance of most things you will want to see and do. We highly recommend this Mercure Hotel. We also recommend coffee and breakfast around the corner at Esquire Coffee Shop - we eat there twice and it was awesome!
