Really great experience staying there. So well located and within walking distance to most of the must-see. Amenities were well maintained. Room are big enough and can't hear your neighbors. I slept so well. maybe the only area of improvement would be to renovate the bathroom. it looks not as new as the room looks like. The staff is friendly. Special kudos to Daniela for allowing me to check-in way earlier than the allowed check-in hour as I had an early flight. I really appreciated it!
Anna called me by name from the day we checked in! She so helpful and pleasant. That extra step made a big impression on me. The bar staff was wonderful as well ! I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.
We stayed three nights at the Mercure and had a wonderful experience. The room was a nice size and very clean. Staff was very kind and accommodating. We utilized the breakfast twice which was nice and had a good spread of options. The location couldn’t be beat, very central to many local points of interest. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend to any of our family or friends.
Situated right in the heart of Porto, making it ideal for sightseeing, shopping (on Rua de Santa Catarina), and accessing public transport. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with modern amenities like air conditioning, minibar, TV and a bath tub. The buffet breakfast is excellent, varied, and satisfying, sometimes with a beautiful view from the restaurant. Includes an on-site restaurant ("A Bicicleta" for Portuguese cuisine), a bar, and, in some areas, a rooftop garden with a view. Free Wi-Fi is available. The Mercure Porto Centro Santa Catarina is an excellent choice for travelers prioritizing a central location, comfort, and high-quality customer service in Porto. It is highly recommended for both leisure and business trips.
This is not a 4 stars hotel. I would say 2 or 3. The location is the best part, it really is in the best part of the city. The breakfast was okay. The room was tiny, no space for luggage or to hang your stuff. The bed was hard and the pillows were uncomfortable. There was no conditioner in the bathroom and no extras like other hotels in this category: no slipppers, no amenity kits, no nothing. We had came from a hotel in the same categoty in Lisboa, and this felt like a big downgrade.
