2 / 5 I would not recommend this place. From the moment we arrived, we faced several issues that made our stay extremely uncomfortable and unsanitary.
• The shower drain didn’t work properly, so we were left standing in water every time we used it.
• A sewage-like smell filled the room whenever we ran the sink, making it hard to stay in the room for more than a few minutes.
• The bed was stained, and even though we contacted the hotel and were told the cover would be replaced, it never was.
• Housekeeping only changed the towels but didn’t actually clean the room during our stay, even after we asked.
• The sewage/mold odor was so strong we had to keep the windows open, which led to a mosquito infestation and sleepless nights.
Overall, the conditions were far below acceptable, and we were unable to feel comfortable or get a decent night’s rest. Disappointing experience.
5 / 5 Great place to stay!! The neighborhood was a little weird, with many homeless people around, but nonetheless the stay was superb! Fatima takes great care of her guests and makes you feel very comfortable. The apartment was clean and cozy, but, most importantly, VERY QUIET. The breakfast is nice. We really enjoyed our stay.
5 / 5 Very easy self check in, good location, polite host.
5 / 5 It's hard to beat this location. It places you very close to the center of all the popular locations. The clean tiny apartment has a tiny kitchenette, fridge (with micro freezer), stove, and bathroom. Unlike other visitors I had no issues or qualms with the soup kitchen across the street. I felt very secure. The only thing is that the roads and paths here and in Porto are steep and uneven, which might be an issue for people with mobility issues.
4 / 5 Nice place to stay for a couple of nights while exploring Porto as the location is central.
Bed is comfortable and good to rest.
The toilet may be a bit tight.
Kitchenette for breakfast is OK, yet you need to have your own food and despite the lovely coffee machine there are no coffee capsules.
