Pestana Vintage Porto

Absolutely stunning hotel right on the river. Our room was a river view with a balcony. The visit was in the spring so we had the balcony doors open quite a bit. The hotel service was amazing. Every staff person we encountered was friendly and helpful.

Such a special stay in Porto at this wonderful hotel. From the moment we checked in, they were very welcoming. The hotel is charming and in a great location. Hugo was our waiter in the wine bar as well as in the restaurant... He made our stay very special. We will be back to this charming hotel!!!

I visited for 5 nights with my husband. From the moment we arrived our stay was all that we could have hoped for and more. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Our room was spacious beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable with a great view over the river. The housekeeping team attended to every detail. The dining room offered lots of choice of quality, fresh food perfectly presented catering for all tastes and service was fabulous. The area around the hotel was vibrant with restaurants, markets and bars but not intrusivly so. Walking around was easy (although hilly) lots to see and do and felt very safe. We explored the area on foot, by tram, by boat and by cable car all giving a different view of the city all within minutes of the hotel. We loved every minute. I am looking forward to visiting again.

We stayed here during the later part of our trip and after our wonderful experience with this hotel group in Cascais we had to give this spot a try. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond in terms of service. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and the rooms were amazing! Especially our room facing the Rio Douro. We had such an exceptional time, we extended our stay another night and we were truly sad to leave. We highly, highly recommend staying here if its you're first time in Porto.

5* treatment at this hotel. Very professional and attentive. We had a problem with the heating and were upgraded to another room. From reporting to being given another room, it was dealt with within 10 minutes. A great selection for breakfast although avoid peak times to enjoy a better service and less waiting time. The gym is tiny - just two machines - quite an intimate space. However I definitely would return. Having experienced the standard room and superior, I would say paying the extra is worth it - for a lovely view as well.
